Anna Mastrogianni is Assistant Professor in Latin Literature at the Department of Greek Literature, Democritus University of Thrace. She received her BA in Classics from the Department of Classical Philology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She then pursued graduate studies in Germany and obtained her PhD in Latin Literature from the University of Hamburg under the supervision of Prof. W. Ludwig. She held teaching and research positions at the universities of Hamburg, Cambridge, and Greifswald. In Democritus University she teaches a wide variety of Classical Latin and Neo-Latin authors and genres for undergraduates and graduate students. Her research interests include Neo-Latin Literature, reception of classical Latin literature in the Renaissance, and Italian Humanism.
